MANHATTAN BAKERIES

I have attempted to find a good bakery within walking distance of Stuyvesant Town, with mixed results.  So far, the best bread has been obtained from the bakery on the LIRR level of Penn Station -- Hot & Crusty - which has other outlets listed in the phone book further north in Manhattan.
